would problems arise if i get a Radeon hd 5770, but use a box type monitor, the on that's not lcd nor flat...
i just want the GPU so that my games wont lag. i dont really care for HD it's my way of cost cutting|||As long as the ATI Radeon HD 5770 has a VGA output you'll be fine. By the way, they're called Cathode Ray Tube monitors (or CRT for short).|||Am I to assume you are referring to CRT monitors? because if so you will need an output converter.
the HD5770 only has DVI, Display Port, and HDMI outputs, and I have yet to see a CRT monitor with any of these input ports.|||Yes, it will work, but old monitors have a very low response time, so your monitor might "lag" when images change very quickly on the screen.
