Should i upgrade my HD 4890 to a 5770 or 5770 Xfire set up, or just wait for the next step.
I know plenty of people are still looking for the 4890's and i could fetch 150 for mine. Is it worth taking the hit to 128 bit computing? Does crossfire make the 128 = 256 in crossfire?
Would a 5870 be a better solution?|||http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gefo…
I think you can depend on this chart for accurate info...and I'm sure there's someone else out there who could explain the technical advantage(s) that you might get because of the card being newer
and there's always that direct-X 11 thing that everybody seems to place in a got to have category.
Tomorrow might be different, but today I think I can do without the three games that use X-11.
But then I was still using a Beta player when everyone else had a VCR...till they came out with enough movies to make it worth while to buy one...so in a couple more years I probably will have a Blue Ray.
The chart says you won't be gaining anything with the 5770 and only marginally with the 5870...
But maybe you'll get lucky and someone out there who already did that exact change will answer and let you know what they got from it...
