I'm buying this graphics card and am so confused after leaving vga and now using DVi. It says this is a dual-link DVi card but is that just because there are two slots? How do i know if DVI-I OR DVI-D?
HELP! :)|||Dual-Link DVI allows additional display modes, rather than the single link DVI. It doesn't mean you can split the signal to two monitors.
If in doubt get a DVI-D cable. As DVI-D is compatible with DVI-I all you lose is the additional analogue data interface.
I've attached the WIKI page for the video standard. This should help you understand the differences.|||Your graphics card can take any of those. Dual-Link lets you split the signal into two different monitors. DVI-I just means it has the pins for both DVI-A (analog singal) and DVI-D (digital signal).
