Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my HD 4830 to a HD 5770. I have a 480W PSU in my pc, and I'm worried that it wont be enough to power it. Does anyone know what the recommended PSU wattage is for this particular card. Apart from the HD 4830, the only other power-consuming part is my AMD 3.1GHz dual core CPU. Thanks!|||The maximum power your card will draw is 108 watts.
The CPU's max power(if it's a 645) will be 95 watts.
That leaves 200 watts for the rest of your whole computer including your motherboard, sound card, hard drive(s), ect. I would recommend just getting a new PSU from Newegg(they aren't that expensive) and running that instead of risking ruining all of your new hardware from a power deficiency. If it's just barely over, it will rapidly wear out those components until they are broken and you are forced to replace them. Just ante up for this PSU---> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… and you won't have to worry.|||if u want to get that card and not over heat ur laptop buy a i7or an i5 processor u wont even feel warmness.
