What is better: ATI Radeon HD 5770 - 1GB DirectX 11 Support OR ATI Radeon HD 4870 - 1GB?

The way this thing goes, the higher number is usually better so the 5770 would be better.|||5770. i would go for the 4870 for todays applications though... its so much cheaper cause its a dx10 card and it gets the job done. as in maxed settings in mw2 done.|||The ATI Radeon HD 5770 mainly because most games or whatever your doing will look better. The 4870 is has less memory, so it's not as good.|||4870 by a slim margin. i was actually looking at this ive bought a 4870 before but returned it and got the 5770 bc i wanted the direct x 1 eyefinity and whatever more. so to answr ur question the 4870 is better but dosent have newer technologies. plz add asbest answr. for all those other answrs ive lookead at benchmarks and 4870 is better the guy hta siad less mem. this is not the 512 mb version. and the guy that said numbers higher is better definetely dosent know his stuff. some guys saying stuff about it looking better becasue of newer technologies is what im impliying and thats correct.|||Go for the hd5770 it's mutch better than the hd 4870, you can look for benchmarks on the web.
