HDR and AA on Oblivion using a radeon hd 5770?

Hi people

I have the following specs

Intel i7 @ 2.8 (860)

RAM: 8GB

OS: Windows 7 (64bit)

GPU: ATi Radeon HD 5770

HDD: 2TB

I was setting the video preferences on oblivion and noticed that it wouldn't allow me to have both HDR and AA selected. However, i have read on forums that there are people with older cards than me that can handle both. Is there anyone who can explain why i can't, or suggest a possible fix to allow me to use both

Thanks for your help.|||The ATI cards that supported HDR and AA were able to do HDR+AA at the same time. Now, before the Geforce 8800 series were released, Nvidia could not do HDR and AA at the same time. Hence, the reason why Oblivion does this.

The reason why you "can't" do HDR+AA at the same time in Oblivion is just because Oblivion isn't letting you "thinking" it won't work. You'll have to enable it by other means. I just enable either HDR or AA (or both) in the video card control panel and enable the other one in game to get both HDR and AA.

I hope this helps!|||You'll have to edit the ini file manually.

First, turn on HDR in the game.

Then edit your oblivion.ini file,

In the [Display] Section change iMultiSample=0 to iMultiSample=4 to enable 4x AA
