and i ran PC Wizard 2010 and found out my computer only has 1.0 PCI-E.

that is the MOBO i currently have, and the computer, the gateway GT5668E. now i know that a Graphics card with PCI-2.0 should work with a 1.0 slot, but ive read about compatibility issues. i just want to make sure before i open up the card and throw away 160 bucks|||Yes, it's fine.
All PCI-E 2.0 x16 cards are fully backwards compatible with 1.0 slots. You're not likely to see any performance difference either. Only around the Radeon 5870 level do cards start approaching the bandwidth limits of the original PCI-E specification.|||its compatable but i would go for a nvidia as ati have given me nothing but trouble in the past...driver issues!
